Andrew Milner-Dunn BVSc MRCVS
Rowan Veterinary Centre welcomed me through their doors in August 2007 as a newly qualified vet from Liverpool University. Working within a small team I quickly fell in love with the practice, the people, and the patients.
It was never my intention to stay in my first veterinary job, but Rowan evolved and progressed so quickly I found myself too excited about the next steps in its growth. While working here we have become a solely Small Animal practice, delivered a purpose-built hospital, converted an old bank for our Blackpool surgery, and increased our team from ten to over 30.
Recognising my love and passion for her business, Ruth offered me partnership in 2013 and I bought into the practice the following year.
Together with Ruth, we strive to create a workplace where colleagues, clients, and patients have a real sense of belonging – we’re making a difference day-to-day.
Within practice I really enjoy my surgery days and the business management. Mostly I love coming to work with a progressive, caring, and brave team.
Out of work I spend most of my time trying to train and tire out my Flat-coated Retriever Edna, neither of which I’m very successful at!
