Amy Eddleston PCertSACN RVN
I initially came to Rowan Vets to complete my apprenticeship. When that came to an end, they offered me a job on a temporary contract as an Auxiliary Nurse. I was then offered a permanent role and the opportunity to train as a Veterinary Nurse.
I completed and passed my Animal Nursing Assistant (ANA) training and started my nursing training at Myerscough College in 2016, qualifying in 2018.
I became interested in nutrition & weight and prior to COVID, offered weight management clinics to owners. It has been very satisfying to see how much owners really do care about their pets, and being able to help them to help their pet improve their overall health. I am also very interested in puppy behaviour and used to run the puppy classes prior to COVID 19, providing guidance on training. I also work very closely with an orthopaedic surgeon who visits the practice, carrying out the general anaesthetics.
I have three cats and live with my fiancé in Penwortham. I enjoy target shooting and am a member of a number of local clubs. I also enjoy walking and seeing my friends and family.
