In 2012, I took a break from my 12-year career in finance, during which time I studied Animal Management at college and volunteered at an Animal Shelter in Texas, USA.

On my return to the UK in 2015, I relocated to Freckleton, where I gained employment with Rowan Vets as part of the reception team. I was later promoted to Finance Manager, picking up my career where I left off in 2012.

When I’m not working, my husband and I attend to our allotment where we grow a variety of vegetables, with the aim of being as self-sufficient as possible. We also grow fruit, berries, and hops for producing home brew beers, ciders, and wines.
